Training 06 September 2007

6 September 2007

Following our recent training with Sea King 137 from Lossiemouth (“Lossie“), where only a fortunate few got to work with the helo crew, the Sector Manager arranged another training day with them.

This time we got to practice entry and departure from the helicopter; winch up and down and stretcher work.

In addition, the whole team got high line experience. This is a technique for pulling in a winchman or casualty from a position *not* directly beneath the helicopter – usually used near cliffs or difficult access points.

Since this was done on the other side of the Firth, I’m sorry there are no photos available of that.
