Visiting cruiser sail boat broke moorings and beached 200 metres from Fortrose Harbour.

Cromarty Rescue Team paged to confirm no persons on board and to assist Kessock lifeboat with recovery if possible.

Gale force winds and rough sea-state prevented immediate recovery. Sailing club personnel assumed responsibility for liaising with owner.
