01 February 2010;
Cromarty Rescue Team was called out following the report of a local fishing boat aground near McFarquhars Bed on the Black Isle.

There being no sign of anyone aboard, a search was instigated involving the team, Invergordon and Buckie Lifeboats and helicopter Rescue R100 from Stornoway. The casualty, believed to have fallen from his boat, was subsequently found some 300m from it by Invergordon Lifeboat, uplifted by helicopter and transferred to Raigmore Hospital.

The incident and aftermath was reported on the BBC, the Press & Journal and other publications.
