Red flare sighting from Alness over the Cromarty Firth by two informants.  Both Invergordon Lifeboat and Lifeboat 1408 launched.   Cromarty CRT was paged at 22.30hrs to assist in locating a casualty.  Following a comprehensive search of both north/south shorelines and the sea area between, no casualty was found and all were stood down.
